Dear fellow students,
it’s the loveliest time of the year when the clocks are put back. To overcome the darkness, here are some events for you to keep busy with.
3.11. at 16:15-> Sporticus’ Theme Thursday @ Student lounge
Are you a know-it-all? Come show you talent at the Theme Thursday where our chairman Eeva hosts a quiz.
3.11. at 22:00-04:00 Interdisciplinary Overall-party @ Club Escape
The theme for this party is Future 3000. Be sure to wear a tin foil hat.

7.11. at 18:30-04:00 Walking dinner @ Jyväskylä & Freetime
This event might be more familiar to you than it is to Finnish students.It’s an event where you get together in a group and each person gets assigned a course (starter, main, dessert) and prepares a dish in that category. The other groupmembers then first visit the person that makes the starter, go on to the house of the person that makes the main course and then conclude their tour at the dessert-person’s house. Then all of the participants are welcome to the official after party in Freetime starting at 23:00 to share experiences and enjoy! The last date for admission is Wednesday the 2nd of November. If you want to invite more friends to join: everyone is welcome!
9.-16.11. Sports gear & equipment appeal @ Student lounge
Sporticus is collecting unused sports equipment. You have two weeks to collect stuff that is no longer useful to you and bring it to the student lounge. The donations will be given to LiiKe ry and send forward to Tanzania. Note: Tanzania is in no need for winter gear, this appeal is only for sling, summer and fall gear. Thank you in advance! 🙂

14.11. at 20:00-04:00 Examparty: Beer Pong tournament @ Club Escape
Who will be the Beer Pong Champion of 2016? The examparty of the month is highly competitive and fun! Everybody can participate despite of previous experience. You’re also very welcome to only enjoy the company or play others games.
17.11. Sporticus’ Theme Thursday @ Student lounge
Lets play some Bingo! Starting time will be informed later on.
22.11. at 16:15-18:00 Sporticus annual general meeting @ L302
Why not to come when there is a free cake buffet? The new student board is chosen at this meeting. This meeting will be mostly in Finnish, but can also be arranged bilingually.
23.11. Sporticus Christmas Party @ Student lounge
Are you familiar with the Finnish ”pikkujoulu” meaning little-Christmas or more accurately pre-Christmas? It’s just an excuse to party every weekend (and weekday?) before Christmas. Sporticus will have some traditional Christmas snacks for you in the student lounge and also arrange some additional activities.

3miot-party tickets will be sold at Liikunta again during the week of the party. Will the theme have something to do with the fact that Christmas is only a month away?
2.12. at 17:30-> Liikunta Ball @ Liikunta & Ilokivi
You will not want not miss this!!! The highlight of the year BY FAR is the annual ball. Live music, fancy clothes, live performances and much more. Tickets will be sold at Liikunta starting Monday the 7th.
